Sight Casting Redfish with DSL

Fun day sight casting reds. These boys caught the weather just right. Coupled with the drop in tide and an aggressive feed. We were fortunate enough to find an area holding reds all day.

Working flats surrounding creeks was the ticket, and our DSL watermelon, red/white and 20# FINS Windtamer Braid was getting it done!

Seadrift Fishing Report

The last couple days has been a bit of a brain teaser on the hunt for big trout. Seeing several 26-28” fish, we threw the box at em, but just couldn’t get them to eat. Catching several 18-22” fish didn’t seem to be as hard with DSL’s and Softdine XL’s. We even got to sight cast a couple reds in shin deep water.

Persistence payed off today as we combed over the same areas, just hitting each area at different times than the day before. I ended up landing a big trout on the Victorious Secret super model.

And a big thanks to Donnie at POC Rod&Gun, for getting my guys fixed up with some tackle and reels repaired.

May-July availability.

Capt. Nathan Beabout Winter Wade Fishing

Another great pre-front bite. Knee deep grass beds with rafts of bait is where we found our fish hanging yesterday and today. Lost a couple good fish, then finally connected with a stud!

Heck even the not so big ones were hungry! Lol. DSL soft plastics and Corkys got the job done.

Corky
Ambitious!
