It started off with a great bite as the moon was setting until about 9am. We caught several 18-21″ trout on a variety of baits, from DSL strawberry wine, to Corkys, and topwaters. This mornings bite was over knee to thigh deep mud/grass. We left that bite to try to find a couple trophies. Walking knee deep grass beds we managed to spook a few but never hooked up. Our mid afternoon bite was over knee deep sand pockets working topwaters. We found several more healthy trout before calling it a day.
